PETALUMA, CALIF. — Organic dairy maker Straus Family Creamery added another family farm to its network of local organic milk suppliers.
Straus Family Creamery, which announced it will begin sourcing organic milk from Bordessa Family Dairies, noted that part of its mission involves the preservation of rural communities and sustainable family farming.
The Bordessa operation includes Bordessa Dairy and Ocean Breeze Dairy. Straus Family Creamery said the farms have a multi-generational legacy of pasture-based dairy farming. The Bordessa family has farmed in California’s Marin and Sonoma counties for more than a century.
