The cows graze on the sweet grasses of Western Marin and Sonoma Counties in Northern California at the 13 family farms (including the Straus Dairy Farm) that supply our milk. These pesticide-free organic grasses which thrive in the mild coastal climate, are rich in beta-carotene, giving our dairy products their rich and unique Straus flavor. The cows are never treated with hormones or antibiotics.
Straus Family Creamery Organic Cream-Top Milk, Cream, Super Premium Ice Cream, European Style Butter, Greek and European Style Yogurts, Sour Cream, and Specialty and Wholesale products all begin with premium organic milk. All our certified organic products are processed as little as possible for the best taste and culinary performance. Never ultra-pasteurized, and no preservatives, fillers, artificial ingredients, or coloring agents.
Every product with the Straus name is organic… and always will be. In 2010, Straus Family Creamery became the first creamery in North America to be Non-GMO Project Verified. All our certified organic dairy products are Non-GMO Project Verified, certified kosher, and gluten free.
