Product Research & Development Manager
Straus Family Creamery Product Research & Development Manager
Creative Product Research & Development Leader for innovative food company
We’re seeking an outstanding Product Research & Development Manager to help Straus Family Creamery develop new flavors and products, plus renovate and improve our current assortment. You’ll be joining an organization that has prized innovation since its inception, plus has a great workplace culture, highest quality products, and a compelling set of activities to help revitalize the family farming and rural communities. We seek an individual that has a strong commitment to organic farming and food, thereby helping ensure the sustainability of pastures, fields, and foodsheds. If you’ve also got a background working with production teams in innovative processing techniques – that would be a huge plus.
Your track record should include 1-2 roles where you led the entire product development process, including working with Marketing to determine consumer interest and trends, ingredient identification and sourcing, initial formulation, trial batches, maintaining all documentation, and scaling up to production quantities. Experience with project management and associated software tools is very valuable. In these roles, you’ll have worked with senior management in a collaborative and interactive manner.
In just one year, you will have taken on the primary responsibility for developing a limited number of 2017 product introductions, plus helped develop a pipeline that will take advantage of the new facility we will move into during that same year. You will play a key role in coordinating the activities of the rest of the project team members in completing their responsibilities on the timelines established in the project plan. You will have developed relationships across the organization, especially with our Founder and CEO, who is passionate about new product development.
If you would like to own these successes, send us a copy of your resume along with a half-page write-up of your experiences in an organic food company. Your comparable accomplishments and success is much more important to us than your chronological resume.
